There is no doubt we’ve seen massive changes in the job market recently, and it looks like a high degree of employment change and transition will continue into the coming year. The Logica Future of Money Study shows continued growth in peer-to-peer (P2P) and the BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) payment methods—especially among Millennials. The study looks closely at generational spending patterns and trends (as well as the platforms people use to purchase), so financial brands, businesses and retailers can be ready for customer preferences.
Looking ahead, we see a continued heightened interest in investing. Both participation in individual stock investments and interest in cryptocurrency will continue to rise among all the generations. We also see some softening in saving compared to 2021, and people may need to draw down on savings again.
Americans continue to look to financial brands and advisors for advice on investing, making the most of their money, and managing a budget. Those with a financial advisor are more confident and less stressed about their financial situation, and the insights gathered reinforce that financial brands can bolster financial confidence and success for customers now and in the future.
