In a joint market research study with Logica, Schwab took a look at investment behavior during volatile times. Some in the industry say investors are looking at ETFs as a risk-management tool because of their flexibility and convenience. 

Increased Investment in Lower Risk Funds

The study showed that investors see increased volatility on the horizon, and many believe that bond-focused ETFs can help guide them through the storm. The market is showing ncreased investment infixed-income exchange-traded funds, as well low volatility funds.
