Logica partners with Commonwealth on "Invest Forward" Study

As part of Logica’s purpose to provide insights to improve people’s financial lives, Logica Research partnered with Commonwealth on their study, “Invest Forward: Closing the Investing Gap for Black and Latinx Low- to Moderate-Income Women.” Commonwealth and Logica(R) put together the “Invest Forward” study to help address the enormous and persistent wealth gaps in the United States—something that must be addressed to support and advance equity. Logica Research collaborated with Commonwealth to understand the financial and investment needs, wants, and aspirations of Low- to Moderate-Income (LMI) working women and identify opportunities for them to build wealth through investing in capital markets outside of retirement plans. The study spotlighted a significant gap in investing by women of color.

About The Study

The Invest Forward study was conducted by Logica Research among 1,500 low and moderate working Black, Latina, and White women aged 18 to 65 earning between $30,000 and $80,000 annually. The study was conducted in the first-quarter of 2021. Latent class analysis was conducted to understand distinct financial and investing personas of Black and Latina LMI working women.

The report offers results that provide a deeper understanding of the investment behaviors, perceptions and engagement of LMI working women.
